after "sing out when there's no other way":

then to same G / F progression as "sing out when..."
after the next verse, rock out the G / F change and the "flashing light"
riff above (w/ whammy bar extrapolation etc).
then play this variation of the intro riff:

then repeat that whole section up until the chords at the end, instead play:

keep playing a pattern like that during the next vocal part.

last time, play the G steadily then down to F and back to verse.
then there's thurston's gtr break, when the drums come in for a moment
play G to F again, then pause, then come back in on G and F for the
final verse (maybe play it an octave higher @ 17th => 15th frets).
