D There's a tomb rises up where the Blue Danube rolls, A And graved there in characters clear, Are, "Stranger, when passing, oh pray for the soul D Of Abdul Abulbul Amir."

D A Muscovite maiden her lone vigil keeps, A 'Neath the light of the cold polar star, And the name that she murmurs so oft as she weeps, D Is Ivan Skavinsky Skavar.
