There also might be a second, double-tracked guitar here playing roughly the same chords for extra heaviness.

Bend A to B a bunch. This is a really neat bending style here.
The bends appear to begin slow and then catch the note on time but in a sort of lazy, laggy fashion.

WTF these are extermeely fast sweep arpeggios!
Not yet good enough to listen/understand/play this.
Instead, riff around D major pentatonic scale/mixolydian mode and just keep soloing.
