When early this morning it struck without warning,

no signs of an ending this eve.
And in my confusion, I sensed the intrusion

of spirits attempting to leave.
I felt quakes on the frontiers

so I turned to my good ear her tidal waves in from the sea.
So I ran further inland but I knew in an instant,

these sirens were sounding for me.

And the mountains they fell from the sky.

And the free bird no longer could fly.

Well I knew that this day I would die… in the rain. In the rain.

Well the scene was quite frightening all the thunder and lightning

was crashing from heavens above.
And I viewed my condition but held strong my position

and prayed for my life and my love.

Then the darkness poured down on the day.

And my eyes turned a deep shade of grey.

And I look for the sun now as I stair through my eyebrows
